Rugby

Escócia - Portugal

Antes do jogo
Prediction: As much as everyone who is not Scottish will hope it isn't the case, this has the potential to be a huge score. Scotland by at least eighty.

Depois do jogo
Escócia 56 - Portugal 10
Those who expected Portugal to wilt under the pressure of a side with significantly more World Cup experience than them were sorely mistaken. Right from the anthems the signs pointed to a rousing display, full of courage and passion from the Portuguese.

Heading into their very first Rugby World Cup game on Sunday there was not much hope for Portugal, or at least that is what most would have led you to believe.

But when the final whistle sounded in St Etienne, Portugal emerged with credit aplenty and hoards of admiring fans, the passion with which they played surpassing anything seen thus far in the World Cup.

Scotland may have run out 56-10 winners, but the Portuguese left their mark on the game, further showing they fully justify their place in Pool C.

Foi uma derrota que não me entristeceu.
